There
will be many times when you will need to create a new webpage. Use
an old page off the site as a template. For adding the new material
to this template, you'll save it as a new page.
Here
are the steps you would have taken if you had done this task.
- Download
the old page off the site into your computer for copying
and using as a template.
- Save
it immediately under a new name. If the old one was called
page1.htm, the new name might be page2.htm.
- In this
new page, replace the old text the new text. Whatever the
copied text looks like, reformat it to match the old page. Save
the finished new page.
- Create
a link that takes people to this new page. Download into
your computer the parish home page (if you don't already
have it in your computer), so that you can edit it.
- Add
the name of the new page to the parish home page and turn
it into a link to the new webpage. Maintain the original design
of the home page by adding this link in the same format as what's
already there.
- Upload
(FTP) the new page and the revised home page.
