Membership Requirements

Anyone who violates the rules of the GNWDA or biblical Christian ethics will have all their posts moderated by admin, possibly without warning or notification. If sufficient evidence of repentance and understanding of the sin is provided to the administrators, the member will be restored to unmoderated status. Otherwise, it will lead to dismissal from the community. The founder and administrators of the GNWDA are very protective of the integrity and reputation of this outreach ministry for Web designers.

When you join the GNWDA, this is what you agree to:

  1. To remain an active member of the GNWDA, I must continue to belong to the "WebServants", and if I unsubscribe from it, I will be forfeiting my membership in the GNWDA.

  2. I desire to do my webwork with true professionalism in the layout, design, text, graphics, and interactivity of websites. I am not willing to settle for doing second-rate or amateurish work. I am definitely interested in learning more in order to improve my skills. I want to join the "WebServants" email discussion group to learn from other members and help others when I can. However, this is not my only source of web designing instruction.

  3. I do not do any webwork that contradicts the Bible, the Christian Church, or the unconditional love of the true Christian lifestyle. This means I do not provide horoscopes nor promote other occult practices, nor do I promote abortion, active homosexual practices (see more on this) or other sexual activities outside of marriage, pornography, or any other immoral behaviors.
  4. Note: All GNWDA members stive to live ethically and biblically and treat each other accordingly. The sponsoring organization, Good News Ministries, promotes the principles that Jesus taught, which are summarized in the Sermon on the Mount, and we expect all members of the GNWDA to desire to live a holy life. Unbiblical behavior toward other members is unacceptable and will be handled according to Matthew 18:15-17.

  5. I use my web designing skills to serve Jesus Christ and His kingdom and His people. At least one of my websites is Christian in its mission. I evangelize (reveal the love of God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit) whenever possible through my webwork.

  6. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I believe that He is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit ~ they are a Triune God. I believe all the following tennants of the Christian faith (this is the Nicene Creed, which is an official early Church expansion of the Apostles Creed that Protestants and Catholics profess):

I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, and of all that is, seen and unseen.

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation, Jesus came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

    For our sake, Jesus was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered died and was buried.

On the third day Jesus rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures.

Jesus ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

Jesus will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.

The Holy Spirit has spoken through the Prophets.

I believe in one holy catholic [i.e., universal] and apostolic Church.

I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

  7. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

  8. I do not do any webwork or use as resources website links that attack Catholicism or any other Christian denomination. I believe that we are united in the basic tenets of true faith, i.e., that the Catholic Church and all non-Catholic denominations offer true, saving faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Note: The administrators of the GNWDA do not expect non-Catholics to agree with all the teachings of the Catholic Church and we don't expect Catholics to agree with all the beliefs of non-Catholic Christians. We do, however, expect all members to show each other respect. This must be a personal value you're willing to stand by, even if that means saying no to a client if asked to violate such respect.

  9. I am not interested in joining the Good News Web Designers Association solely to get new clients, and I am excited about networking with other Christian webmasters. Therefore, I want to join the "WebServants" e-group and get busy sharing what I can with other members while learning from them.
