COLORS THAT
DON'T VARY

Dithering is the computer's attempt to blend colors in an effort to create the color you intend it to be, and each monitor interprets this blending differently.

There are 216 "non-dithering" colors, i.e., colors that will look like the same on every browser and every computer screen resolution setting.

Their hex codes only use: 00, 33, 66, 99, CC and FF, in any combination.

If you use any colors that are not on this chart, the look you design might not be the look people see. This is especially a problem when you use a color that can dither, such as the background of a jpg image, and try to repeat that same color as the background color of the page behind the image. The image sometimes does not blend into the background the way you'd like it to. Using a non-dithering color will resolve that.
